Writing This Last Chapter of My Book Was Too Slow

Published by in Book Writing Project Updates · 30 January 2012
Just a quick update for my "Book Writing Project".  I've just finished my next chapter of just over 4000 words which is pretty good, but shamefully I have to admit was WAY TOO SLOW!

I've feel like I've gone back a few steps somewhere as the time it took me to complete chapter 13 was 5 months and 13 days!  Ouch!

That is seriously not good and I need to kick myself in the butt - HARD!

If I want to become a better writer I have to speed myself up considerably.  No publisher is going to take a writer seriously if they can't produce their book in a timely manner.  Imagine going to a day job and taking days to do a job that should take minutes - you'd get fired!

Ok, so I wrote this book chapter way too slow and I need to seriously get my head on straight and focus on my plan.

What caused me to write slow and take so long?  I still need to investigate myself on that one and will publish my findings in my next update.
